Inspired by our Cuban heritage, my Dad and I started humbly, but with a grand plan: To create the finest and most authentic Cuban sandwich in Indianapolis. And with nothing but a food cart and this dream, we headed for Broad Ripple to fulfill this crazy idea.
What makes these sandwiches so special? It all begins with freshly roasted pork and turkey, made in house through out the day. We select our meats based on quality and flavor. We then take it upon ourselves to hand-carve every single slice of pork and ham just like the plantation workers did in Pre-Castro Cuba. We then put it all between real Cuban bread or Media Noche Bread and press them to perfection. These are sandwiches made to order with love and dedication.
Here at Taste of Havana we serve my grandmother's Black Bean Soup and Old Fashion Pastelitios. Our pastelitos are baked fresh daily using real cream cheese, guava paste, and powdered sugar...just like the good Ol'days.
So put that passport away, and head on over to Taste of Havana and experience the TASTE for yourself!
